EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
FULL-TIME ON-SITE POSITION
Location: Fresno, CA
Salary: Starting $ 95,000.00 – $ 110,000.00
*Incentive Program available depending on experience.
Level of Responsibility:
The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of Chrysalis House, Inc. (CHI). The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. The Executive Director implements the policy directives emanating from the Board of Directors and assumes the overall leadership role in guiding all administrative, fiscal, program, professional and community services as delineated by licensing and COA accreditation standards.
Specific Responsibilities included but not limited to:
In accordance with the Policies and Procedures of Chrysalis House, the Executive Director shall develop and administer program services to:
· Assure that the organization has a long-range strategy which achieves its mission, and toward which it makes consistent and timely progress.
· Position the agency to meet re-accreditation standards as set forth by COA.
· Provide leadership in developing program, Strategic Business Plan (SBP) with the Board of Directors and staff and carry out plans and policies authorized by the Board.
· Maintain professional best practice standards with a trauma-informed focus
· Demonstrate active and broad participation in the Board of Directors Committee and quarterly meetings
· Administer the Performance and Quality Improvement Plan, implementing any program changes authorized by the Board of Directors.
· Maintain and supervise official records and all clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with accreditation, federal, state and local regulations/standards.
· Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field with particular attention to the primary program services of: Domestic Adoption, Birthparent Services and Fost-Adoption.
In communications, the Executive Director will:
· Jointly, with the Board of Directors President and Secretary, conduct official correspondence of the organization, and jointly, with designated officers, execute legal documents.
· See that the Board is kept fully informed on the condition of the organization, including financial, programmatic changes and staffing status that may impact the status of the Agency.
· Publicize the activities of the organization, its programs and goals.
· Establish sound working relationships and cooperative arrangements with community groups and organizations.
· Perform agency outreach, developing and nurturing networking relationships.
· Develop positive media marketing strategies and social networking exposure.
· Represent the programs and point of view of the organization to agencies, organizations, and the public.
In relations with staff, the Executive Director will:
· Be responsible for the recruitment, employment, and release of all personnel, both paid staff and any volunteers.
· Ensure that job descriptions are developed, that regular performance evaluations are held, and that sound human resource practices are in place.
· Supervise an effective management team, ensuring that an appropriate provision for succession is in place.
· Administer staff meetings, clinical meetings, case consultations and staff training
· Encourage staff development and education and assist program staff in relating their specialized work to the total program of the organization.
· Maintain a climate which attracts, retains, and motivates a diverse staff of top-quality people.
In budget and finance, the Executive Director will:
· In tandem with the Board of Directors and Director of Finance and Operations, be responsible for developing and maintaining sound financial practices.
· Work with Director of Finance, Board of Director Finance Committee, and the full Board of Directors, in preparing a budget; ensure that the organization operates within budget guidelines.
· Ensure adequate marketing, program promotion through agency outreach is completed, allowing the Agency to meet the financial goals set by the Board of Directors.
· Report new trends noted within the adoption landscape which may necessitate program changes and the consideration of additional revenue streams and/or program proposals.
In supervising the Clinical program, the Executive Director will:
Keep the Board of Directors fully informed on case progression and risks for disruption.
· Ensures that social work personnel perform their duties in compliance with applicable laws, State and Federal regulations, policies and procedures.
· Supports social workers in case coverage, during absence or when additional clinical support is best practice.
· Supervise clinical documentation to ensure the agency maintains compliance standards.
· Position the agency to provide specialized services including: Parent Preparation Training, Support Groups, community education, events, etc.

· A strong commitment to promoting programs that meet the needs of children and families.
Education Requirements
· Completion of a two-year master’s degree in social work or closely related field as determined by State of California, Community Care Licensing Standards and regulations.
· This position will continue to develop professionally throughout their tenure with the agency, meeting regulatory standards for ongoing training requirements.
AND
Experience Requirements:
· Demonstrated competency and ability as an administrator and a practitioner within the field of domestic and international adoptions and/or counseling.
· Five years post graduate minimum experience in the field of children adoptions, including two years in a supervisory clinical position.
· Two years of post-graduate Supervisorial, management/administrative experience desired.
